Bunny Pancakes- Let's make food fun and turn our ordinary every day foods, like pancakes come to life by creating fun bunnies for Easter! This one is so simple to do and your kids will thing you are the absolute best mama in the world for it. Love doing little extras like this to help create fun lifelong memories with my kids. I mean they are only little once, and even those teens love it too!

Isn't he cute? Let's call him Bugs, or Peter Cotton Tail.

Bunny Pancakes

You could also incorporate this idea into a fun breakfast charcuterie spread with a larger bunny on a tray with delicious egg bites like these copycat Starbucks egg bites here, or even these incredible Breakfast Sausage Balls too!

Ingredients: Bunny Pancakes

  • 1 cup pancake mix (you will want to adjust for however many pancakes you are making)
  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips mini
  • 1 tbsp whip cream

Optional Ingredients Bunny Pancakes

  • coconut flakes
  • banana

Instructions: Bunny Pancakes

  • Prepare favorite pancake mix for the amount of pancakes you want to make. I do 3 cups for 4 kids. This makes 4 decent size bunnies. I make my pancake mix a bit runny so it makes it easier to squeeze out of container.
  • Once pancake batter is prepared use funnel to pour batter into a squeeze bottle.
  • Prepare your griddle on medium heat with butter and once it melts add pancake batter in the shape of ears (ovals) head & body- two circles one slightly larger than the other. Then two smaller ovals than you did for ears for paws at bottom.
  • Allow batter to cook then flip.
  • Once done assemble bunny on a tray: ears first, head, body then paws.
  • Once assembled add 3 mini chocolate chips to the paws.
  • A puff of whip cream to the body for the tail.
  • Serve as is, or drizzled with honey or maple syrup

Optional Instructions

  • add two slices of bananas to the paws
  • coconut flakes to the tail

This is an example of how I create the little bunny on the griddle.

Now it is time for you to get creating! Look at that cute little tail.

Crazy Busy Mama Tip: Bunny Pancakes

I love displaying a big bunny on a tray with some regular pancakes on plates for the kids, but you could make individual ones too and place them closer together on a plate for individual bunny plates too!

You could also incorporate this idea into a fun breakfast charcuterie spread with a larger bunny on a tray with delicious egg bites like these copycat Starbucks egg bites here, or even these incredible Breakfast Sausage Balls too!

You can even add a fun slice of banana to the paws of the bunny or fresh fruit to the side like grapes or strawberries. And if your kids love coconut (unfortunately, mine do not) you can add a sprinkle of coconut flakes to the tail to give it a textured fluffy bunny tail impression.
