Who loves to put together a fun charcuterie board for holidays or when hosting? If so, you need to try this salami rose charcuterie board. 

In fact, it’s more than just a salami rose charcuterie board … I give you 4 different ways to display your charcuterie meat to give that charcuterie a unique appearance and are super easy to do too! For me charcuterie boards are like adult lunchables. I could enjoy them for snacking or even a meal. Is it just me, or could you also do the same?

So whether it is Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter or any day of the week this will elevate your charcuterie board each and every time. Your guests will undoubtedly think you are the hostess with the mostess! 

Just look at these meats displayed here in this image on this board that I did for Valentine’s Day! Just imagine all the possibilities! 

I have created a picture tutorial below. You will see it is just the the salami rose. However, you can click Jump to Video to see how it’s done too. The video tutorial will show you not only an easy way to make a salami rose, but a salami and prosciutto rose bouquet – love using mixed meats together, a salami chain, and an accordion style of displaying charcuterie meats too.

Photo Step by Step How To: Salami Rose – How to for Charcuterie Board

1- Take your first slice of salami and press it folded in half over the glass rim.

2- For the second layer, press the piece of salami positioned halfway over the first layer. 

3 – Press the third slice halfway over the second.

4- And so on, going around the glass until you’ve used all 9 pieces of salami.

5- Lightly press the salami pieces over the rim of the glass and turn the glass upside down quickly on your cutting board.

Remove the shot glass by sliding it upwards.

And voila, a simple yet beautiful salami rose. Such an easy way to evaluate that charcuterie board with a salami rose

Crazy Busy Mama Tip:

Salami Roses for your Charcuterie Board don’t take a lot of time to make however, if you want to get a head start on your entertaining you could make them ahead and store them in saran wrap in the fridge. This way when you are ready to put that board together for your guests these salami roses are done for you!

In fact, you could make all of your meats- roses, bouquet style, chain or accordion style for your charcuterie this way.

Desire to make different sizes of roses? Super simple just change the sizes of glasses you are using to make the rose. You could do a wine glass or different sizes of shot glasses to create this and do a beautiful rose spread of all different sizes.

Materials

  • 2 lbs salami amount will depend on how many roses you are wanting to make- average 9 salami per rose

Instructions

  • Take your first slice of salami and press it folded in half over the glass rim.
  • For the second layer, press the piece of salami positioned halfway over the first layer. 
  • Press the third slice halfway over the second.
  • And so on, going around the glass until you’ve used all 9 pieces of salami.
  • Lightly press the salami pieces over the rim of the glass and turn the glass upside down quickly on your cutting board.
  • Remove the shot glass by sliding it upwards to reveal a rose

Although they don’t take a lot of time to make, you could make them all one day ahead and store them in saran wrap in the fridge for when you are ready to prepare the charcuterie board.
