This is the most moist Honey Cornbread recipe you will ever taste! I’m doing this Honey Cornbread up in this cast-iron skillet and using my HEART Cast iron. To make this easy honey cornbread, I’m using a jiffy mix and making it per box instructions! Seriously, so easy right? The only change up is I am using my favorite unfiltered, pure, and organic honey. Now if you want to make your own homemade cornbread instead of a mix please do! As a crazy busy mama, I am just looking for easy quick recipes just like this easy Jiffy Honey Cornbread to help save time in the kitchen and use that extra time spending it with intention around the dinner time table with my family. And if you don't have a cast iron, of course you can use a regular baking dish (8X8 would be best), but trust me if you love those crispy edges you will want to try using the cast iron skillet. The texture is off the chain, and it's absolutely mouthwatering.

Honey Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Cornbread mix- Jiffy Box

1 Egg

1/3 cup milk

2 Tbsp RAW Unfiltered Organic Honey

HOW TO MAKE HONEY CORNBREAD (Step by Step Photos)

DIRECTIONS:

  • Preheat Oven with Cast Iron in oven at 425
  • In a bowl combine Jiffy Mix with egg and milk and mix
  • Add pure, raw, unfiltered organic honey to this jiffy mix
  • Mix all together and let it set up for a little bit. Just a few minutes
  • Then once the oven is preheated take the cast iron out and go ahead and turn down to 400.
  • Grab a stick of butter straight out of the fridge, unwrap enough to be able to hold and rub over the sides and bottom of preheated cast-iron. Be careful as cast iron is hot, so make sure to use hot pads while doing this.
  • Bake at 400 for 20-25 mins until edges are crispy brown and its a nice golden color. You can also do the toothpick test
  • Shouldn’t stick the pan but I like to take a little knife and go around the edges to make it easier to serve.

Crazy Busy Mama Tip: If you are using a baking dish this THIS one, instead of a cast iron skillet, make sure to spray the pan before baking to avoid sticking!

Ingredients
  

  • 8.5 oz cornbread mix I love Jiffy
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 milk
  • 2 tbsp honey I love Blue Hive Honey

  • 1 tbsp butter rub on sides and bottom of pre-heated cast iron
