Here is how I put together these festive yummy Buzzed Cherry Bombs.
Ingredients: Buzzed Cherry Bombs
- 24 maraschino cherries
- 8 oz vodka prefer vanilla infused
- 6 oz melting chocolate vanilla
- 4 oz sprinkles
Instructions: Buzzed Cherry Bombs
- Soak maraschino cherries overnight in vodka – I prefer vanilla infused
- Once they have soaked gently pat dry with a paper towel
- Prepare melting wafers per instructions in the microwave.
- In the meantime, grab a small bowl and pour in 1/4 cup or so of blue festive sprinkles. I like the blue sand type sprinkles for these, but feel free to use your favorite.
- One chocolate has been melted take the cheery by the stem and dip in the melted vanilla chocolate wafers about 3/4 of the way up on the cherry.
- Then take that same cherry that you dipped in white, while chocolate is still wet and cover the bottom 1/3 well with blue sprinkles.
- This will give the cherry a red white and blue effect
- Serve immediately on a board and enjoy!
Side Idea:
These buzzed cherry bombs would be great nestled in to a charcuterie style board of other fantastic adult treats. Or if you make a version of non- alcoholic ones too make sure to label them differently and serve on different boards.
Crazy Busy Mama Tip:
If you didn't have a chance to let the cherries set over night in vodka, you can speed up the process by letting them soak for at least 6 hours. Have leftovers? Store in a airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Want to make an alcohol free version that is kid friendly? Simply skip the soaking process of the cherries.
