Bunny Veggie Tray

Here is a close up on his cute little bunny face. It just takes a little time and effort to shape the olives the way you want them and to cut the onions down to size! It's not hard and its so fun!

Ingredients: Bunny Veggie Tray

  • broccoli
  • 2 bread bowl
  • 2 hoagie buns
  • dill dip
  • sliced olives
  • 16 oz cherry tomatoes
  • black olives
  • cauliflower
  • cucumber
  • snap peas
  • carrots
  • color peppers
  • green onion

Feel free to make a homemade dip like THIS one, or just buy one and take out of the container no one will even know the difference. I would love to know what dip is your favorite add to this. We like ranch here in my house but I know some do not care for ranch at all! If you are looking for a good lazy susan try, you can grab one here!

Instructions: Bunny Veggie Tray

  • Wash and cut and prepare all veggies and set aside
  • Grab a large lazy susan or circular charcuterie style tray
  • Cut bread bowl center out and discard ( I actually use this for dipping just not on the board)
  • Add bread bowl to center of board
  • Then take 2 hoagie rolls and place them on top of the circle a few inches apart. This will be the bunny head and ears.
  • Once you have bread on tray fill in the tray around the bread with prepared veggies of choice. The more variety the better.
  • Once you have filled in board with bread and veggies, fill the bread bowl in with dip.
  • Then take 2 sliced olives and add towards the top side by side of the dip in bowl to resemble eyes. then take 2 more sliced olives and cut them in half and arrange them in a shape of a smile. Then take a half of a slice of olive (so a 4th) an cut in half to fill in the space between the nose and smile
  • Take a red pepper and slice a bit off in the shape of a small triangle
  • Then take 3 green onions and cut them in half to create 6 separate pieces
  • Add the green onions to the side by the nose and lay them across the dip and bread to resemble whiskers.
  • Now dip and enjoy!

Notes

You can use any vegetables you want for this tray. I used my favorites but also wanted it to be colorful so in kept that in mind when choosing. And you will want to break up the colors of veggies so you don't have the same colors together.
You can use any dip even homemade if you would like. I did dill thought it paired wonderfully with the bread and veggies.
