Just tell your kids not to stress about trying to find a reservation, that would be hopeless this late anyways! Send them this round up of Mother's Day Meals! They are all easy and won't leave your kitchen a mess, so that is just another gift for you on Mother's Day!

Mother's Day Meals

Okay, let's get real for a second.. while Mother's Day in the toddler stage are adorable in their own way, unless your husband is really bringing his A-game, Mother's Day doesn't really feel like a huge celebration. I remember waking up to breakfast in bed when our four were little only to find the entire house completely destroyed when I got out of bed. But Q always tried, and he usually rocked Mother's Day. But if you are in that stage.. it gets easier mama!

I was talking with a friend the other day, she has a 3 and 4 year old. And just look at how precious her babies are! But she has had a few Mother's Day under her belt to prepare her for egg shell in an omelette and cold coffee. She told me about her first Mother's Day, and y'all it sounded rough. Her son was 4 months old and had his first cold. Her in laws were in town and staying at her house and she was hosting a baby shower for her Sister in law on her very first Mother's Day. She was also pregnant, but didn't know it yet. I mean wow, that is a lot on Mother's Day.

She told me she called her mom crying (as so many of us would and as I hope my girls would!) and her mom said, “I forgot to warn you, Mother's Day isn't that great until your kids are grown.” Now, this friend loves her in laws and her husband is a rockstar and her sister in law is her best friend so it was likely those pesky pregnancy hormones that caused the tears, but it made me think.. Mother's Day should be special no matter how old your children are!!

Mother's Day Meals

So that got me thinking.. how can I make Mother's Day a little easier for those families that have their plates and minds filled with a million other things? I figured I would put together a roundup of recipes that I would love to have made for one of my Mother's Day meals!

So if you are looking for ideas for your mom, or sending it to your teens or husband (no judgement), these meals will allow you to spend time with the people you love on a day that should be all about celebrating YOU!
