Here is how I put together this amazing Creamy Chicken Pasta Skillet!

Ingredients: Creamy Chicken Pasta Skillet

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts cubed
  • 1 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 2 1/2 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1/2 tbsp pepper
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 3 cups spinach fresh
  • 6 pieces bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 14 oz chicken broth can use low or no sodium
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 16 oz pasta penne – uncooked
  • 3 oz cream cheese cubed
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan shredded
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella shredded

Instructions:Creamy Chicken Pasta Skillet

  • In a skillet on medium heat add butter and let it melt
  • Add Cubed up chicken breasts and garlic and pepper
  • Add chopped up bacon to the skillet and cook with chicken. I didn't have bacon on hand, so I used real bacon bits and they worked just fine. You could also cook up a few slices on a microwave bacon tray and crumble and add to chicken if you prefer.
  • Once chicken is half way cooked just about 4 mins add sliced mushrooms and sauté
  • Add chicken broth- I use low sodium or no sodium any time I am using broth but you can choose regular too.
  • Let that come to a simmer on your stove top and then add in heavy whipping cream.
  • And then add penne pasta (Uncooked) or pasta of choice.
  • Mix in pasta until all the pasta is covered by liquid and cover on medium heat.
  • Pasta should be cooked in about 7-8 minutes.
  • Lift lid and stir then add cream cheese cubed up.
  • Then add parmesan cheese and mix until combined.
  • Once combined add fresh spinach.

This last step is optional, but if you love cheese you will love this. Top the shredded mozzarella cheese and cover for a few minutes on low heat so cheese melts. We love using this cheese grader for fresh graded cheese

And now it is time to enjoy!

So easy and delicious! Thank you!
I did add one more cup of warm cream and chicken broth to “loosen “ it up a bit. Personal preference.
