There’s something about cinnamon rolls that just feels like a warm hug straight from the oven. And these Homemade Cinnamon Rolls? Let me tell you—they were a total win!

So simple. So sweet. And honestly? Making these with your kiddos this summer is The perfect excuse to slow down, gather in the kitchen, and let everyone get their hands sticky!

Easy Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

I made these Homemade Cinnamon Rolls with my youngest daughter Lily and we had the best time. They were quick to throw together and so much fun to make. This easy homemade cinnamon roll recipe quickly became a go-to in our house—I mean, the easiest. If you can roll up dough and sprinkle cinnamon sugar, you can make these. That kind of easy.

I am serious mamas! This easy homemade cinnamon roll recipe is the easiest even for crazy busy mamas that are in the thick of a hard stage of parenting! Let me just say, I see you mama! Hang in there, you are doing a great job!

Having girls is just so fun. I love being a boy mom and a girl mom, but let’s be honest—my boys aren’t lining up to bake with me on a Saturday afternoon. They’ll definitely be first in line to eat whatever we make (they often walk in the kitchen as soon as the sweet aroma makes it to their room), but baking with mom? Not always their thing. Between sports, school, and everything else they stay busy with, they usually show up just in time to taste test—and they do that job really well!

One of my absolute favorite ways to spend time with my kids is baking. It’s usually me and the girls in the kitchen, making a mess and making memories, while the guys walk through like they are at the grand opening of a Sam’s Club with every free sample imaginable. But any time I get to spend with my kids is time well spent in my book! Honestly? It’s just good for my mama heart. These little moments together in the kitchen fill me up more than I can even express.

And let me just say—don’t wait for the “right age” to start baking with your kids. If you’ve ever tried baking with toddlers, you already know it’s a bit of beautiful chaos. Try cracking eggs without them noticing. You can’t. They’re right there with their little hands in the bowl, “helping.” Sure, it means more mess, a few egg shells to fish out, and probably flour on the dog. But it’s also magic.

They say you only have your kids at home for 18 summers, and that goes so fast! It feels like just yesterday my Lily was a toddler wanting to crack the eggs. And just look at her now! She just turned 15 and she is already such a willing vessel for the Lord. God has great plans for this young heart. God will do incredible things through her for His kingdom through her continued willingness and I cannot wait to have a front row seat to it all as her mama! Her smile is contagious; she can light up a room with her smile and laugh. Her natural positivity is something I admire so much!

So this summer, let go of perfection. Don’t worry about the mess or making a magazine worthy dessert.. Embrace it all—the spills, the giggles, the sticky hands. Embrace being flawsome! Just love Jesus, live for Jesus and the rest will fall into place. And let’s take a deep breath and make a somewhat sticky mess in the kitchen making yummy recipe

These cinnamon rolls aren’t just dessert. They’re connection. They’re home. They’re happiness with a little cinnamon and sugar mixed in. They’re a reminder that the kitchen isn’t just for food—it’s for family. Since our Q unexpectedly passed last year, Some of the best time my family has had has been over a plate of something warm and sweet.

Even when I went to visit my mama, we had a long brunch full of tears and connection around her table. There is just something about the table, it has the potential to be such a beautiful place for families.

It has been a hard year for us and I don’t know what the future holds, but I know who holds our future. So I hope that you take the time to cherish those you love! I hope all of my recipes help you reclaim the table and have some intentional time with your family while you enjoy some yummy food. I hope all of my recipes help you make memories, spark conversations, and share a little joy.

So take a breath, tie on an apron, and get baking. You’ll be glad you did.
