Pencil Eraser Back To School Treats

Looking for the perfect back to school treats for you and your kiddos to make this year? Well look no further! These Rice Krispy Pencil Erasers are not just adorable, they are so yummy too!!

There’s something in the air this time of year—and no, it’s not just the scent of sharpened pencils and leftover sunscreen. It’s that unmistakable feeling that summer is slipping through our fingers, and the school year is peeking just around the corner.

Back to school treats

Some of us are sprinting to the finish line of summer, running on fumes and frozen waffles, while others are holding on tightly to these last lazy mornings and barefoot evenings. No matter which camp you’re in—ready for routine or mourning the magic of slow days—one thing is for sure: this season brings a whole lot of feelings.

At our house, it’s always a mix of excitement, nerves, and pure chaos. Backpacks are getting dusted off, lunchboxes are being hunted down from wherever they disappeared to in May, and I’m trying to soak up every second I can before the calendar fills back up with drop-offs, practices, and “what’s for dinner?” on repeat.

To mark the moment (and maybe distract from the mess), why not make some fun school-themed treats—nothing fancy, just simple ways to bring everyone to the table and make the most of what’s left of summer. These little traditions? They’re what my mama heart clings to.

When I first became a mom, I thought it would be all about the big milestones—first steps, first backpacks, first days. But the real magic? It’s in the small stuff. The way they laugh with their mouths full of cookie crumbs, the way they lean on you when they’re nervous for a new year, the way summer slips into fall and you didn’t even notice it happening. Before you know if you have a 2 children already graduated and 2 in high school, when it feels like just yesterday they were little ones at the bus stop.

Now, with a few more years (and a whole lot more perspective) behind me, I treasure those in-between moments more than ever. The messy, imperfect, beautiful bits of everyday family life. Especially the ones spent with Q—because those ordinary days? They’re the ones that shine the brightest after Q passed away unexpectedly in April of last year.

So whether you’re a mama counting the days until school starts, or one trying to press pause just a little longer—these recipes are for you. A little sweet. A little simple. A little reminder that even in the crazy, you’re doing something really special.

Let’s make this season count—not just with pencils and planners, but with love, laughter, and maybe a sweet treat (or two) along the way.
