It’s Here: The Crazy Busy Mama Christmas Cookbook Has Officially Launched!

50 Heartfelt Recipes. Countless Memories. One Crazy Busy Mama Christmas.

Oh, sweet friends — the day is finally here!

After months of prayer, planning, and pouring my heart (and maybe a few tears) into these pages, I am beyond excited to announce the launch of my brand-new Crazy Busy Mama Christmas CookbookCrazy Busy Mama Christmas!

This isn’t just a cookbook… it’s a piece of my heart. A love letter to my family, my faith, and to every mama trying to keep the magic of Christmas alive — even in the middle of grief, busyness, and the beautiful mess of real life.

The Heart Behind Crazy Busy Mama Christmas

When I started Crazy Busy Mama, my mission was simple — to help families reclaim the table I’ve always believed that something sacred happens when we gather around food.
The laughter. The smells. The stories told between bites.

And at Christmas, that truth shines even brighter.

But after losing my husband — the man who made Christmas feel like pure magic — the table started to feel different. The lights didn’t sparkle quite the same. The carols felt quieter. The traditions that once brought joy now carried a quiet ache.

Yet somewhere in the middle of all that, God whispered: “Keep showing up.”

Keep baking.
Keep gathering.
Keep remembering.
Keep celebrating.

And that’s exactly what I did.

This Crazy Busy Mama Christmas Cookbook is more than 50 holiday recipes — it’s 50 reminders that love lives on. That even in the middle of heartache, joy can still find a place at the table.

When Christmas 2023 Changed Everything

I’ll never forget Christmas 2023.

At the time, we had no idea it would be our last Christmas together as a full family — no way of knowing how quickly life would change just a few months later.

It was one of those Christmases where things felt a little “off,” but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it. I thought it was just because my kids were getting older and traditions were changing. We were tired, stretched thin, and honestly — no one was in the mood for pictures.

We had matching pajamas like always, the ones I was so excited to get for everyone. But when it came time to take that annual photo, nobody wanted to do it. The kids groaned, someone rolled their eyes, and I remember feeling frustrated — thinking, “Come on, just one picture!”

We finally snapped a few, but even then, it felt like we were just going through the motions.
Little did we know… those photos would become priceless.

If I had known that would be our last Christmas all together, I would have clung to every moment — the matching pajamas, the messy kitchen, the laughter that filled the room despite the fatigue.

I would’ve sat longer at that table, memorized the sound of his laugh, and maybe even taken one more picture (even if everyone groaned again).

But that’s the thing about life — we don’t always realize we’re living a “last” until it becomes a memory.

Now, when I look at those imperfect pictures, I see something so much more beautiful. I see love.
I see us.
I see the goodness of God even in the unplanned and the ordinary.

That Christmas wasn’t perfect, but it was precious. And it’s the reason this cookbook carries the weight that it does — because I now know just how sacred those everyday, chaotic, beautiful moments truly are.

The Story Behind the Chocolate Gravy

There’s one recipe in this book that holds a special place in my heart — our famous Chocolate Gravy.

Now, if you’ve never had it, let me tell you — it’s not the kind of gravy you pour over mashed potatoes. It’s warm, velvety chocolate goodness poured over flaky biscuits. It’s sweet, comforting, and feels like a big ol’ hug on a plate.

This dish was never about Christmas morning for our family — it was about the moments around the season. The slow Saturday mornings in December when the tree lights glowed softly, the kids were still in their matching pajamas, and the air smelled like cocoa and cinnamon.

It wasn’t fancy. But it was us.

We’d gather in the kitchen, laughing, stirring, making a mess — and making memories. My husband loved those mornings. He’d sneak tastes straight from the spoon, pretending I didn’t see. The kids would giggle, and I’d just stand there watching them — thankful for the simple togetherness of it all.

After losing him, it took me a long time to make that chocolate gravy again. The first time I did, I cried through the entire process. But I realized something as I poured that warm chocolate over the biscuits — love doesn’t leave when someone we love is gone. It stays in the smells, the sounds, and the recipes that hold their fingerprints.

That’s why this recipe had to be in the cookbook.
Because it’s not just about chocolate gravy — it’s about gathering. About remembering. About how food can bring us together in ways that words sometimes can’t.

Cooking Through Grief: Finding Healing in the Kitchen

When you lose someone you love, even the happiest holidays can feel complicated. The tree still twinkles, but there’s an empty chair. The cookies still bake, but someone’s missing to steal the first bite.

I know that pain.
And I also know the healing that can happen through cooking.

There were nights I’d stand in the kitchen, tears falling into the batter, whispering prayers while stirring. And somehow, through the warmth of the oven and the rhythm of the routine, I’d feel peace again — like God was sitting right beside me saying, “I’m here.”

That’s what this cookbook is about.
It’s not about perfection — it’s about presence.
It’s about finding God in the ordinary moments, the messy moments, the moments you never thought you’d get through.

And it’s about using food as a way to love people well — because sometimes, the simplest meal shared around the table can bring the most powerful healing.

Reclaiming the Table This Christmas

I know how busy this season gets. The schedules. The shopping. The school concerts. The endless “to-do” lists.
But I want to remind you, mama — the most important thing you can do this Christmas isn’t decorating perfectly or baking everything from scratch.

It’s gathering.
It’s laughing.
It’s showing up.
It’s remembering that the table doesn’t have to be perfect to be holy.

That’s why every recipe in Crazy Busy Mama Christmas was created with real life in mind.
You don’t need to spend hours in the kitchen or have fancy ingredients. You just need open hands, a willing heart, and maybe a few little helpers (messy aprons and all).

Because at the end of the day, the goal isn’t a flawless meal — it’s a family full of love and laughter.

A Christmas Cookbook Full of Faith, Family, and Flavor

You’ll find more than just recipes in these pages. You’ll find bits of my story — reflections on faith, motherhood, loss, and joy.
You’ll find little “CBM Tips” tucked into corners — practical ways to simplify your cooking and slow down your soul.
And you’ll find reminders that even in chaos, God is still writing something beautiful.

Every page points back to the same truth:
Christmas is about presence, not perfection.

It’s about gathering around food and faith, remembering the One who came to bring us peace, and celebrating the blessings — big and small — that surround us.

As I look at this finished cookbook, I can’t help but think about how far God has brought us.
