The holidays are one of my absolute favorite times of the year. Between decorating the tree, sipping hot cocoa, and spending cozy evenings with family, I’m always looking for festive treats that are both adorable and easy to make. That’s why I can’t wait to share these Pinecone Brownie Bites with you.

Not only do they look like real pinecones (how fun is that?!), but they’re also made with just a handful of ingredients. No fancy baking skills are required—just brownies, frosting, cereal, and a touch of powdered sugar if you want to add that magical “snow-dusted” finish. These little cuties are perfect for holiday parties, family movie nights, or even as edible centerpieces on your Christmas table.

Pinecone Brownie Bites: SIDE IDEA

1. Make the Base

Place the brownie bites into a mixing bowl and add 1 tablespoon of chocolate frosting. Use a hand mixer or spoon to combine until the mixture comes together like dough. This forms the base of your Pinecone Brownie Bites.

2. Shape the Pinecones

Take a small handful of the brownie mixture and shape it into a pinecone—elongate it slightly and taper one end so it doesn’t just look like a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used. Place the shaped pinecones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill them in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up.

3. Decorate with Frosted Flakes

Now comes the fun part! Working one pinecone at a time, press chocolate Frosted Flakes into the brownie base, starting at the bottom and layering upward. This creates the look of pinecone scales. Keep going until each brownie is fully covered.

4. Optional Snowy Touch

For that wintry, snow-dusted look, lightly sprinkle powdered sugar over the top of your Pinecone Brownie Bites. It’s a simple step that takes these treats from cute to magical.

Crazy Busy Mama Tip

Here’s my CBM tip: turn these Pinecone Brownie Bites into a family activity. Set up a “pinecone decorating station” with bowls of Frosted Flakes, powdered sugar, and maybe even a few fun extras like mini M&Ms or sprinkles. Let the kids build their own pinecones while you sip cocoa and snap pictures. Not only do you end up with delicious treats, but you also create special memories that last longer than the holiday season.
