Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
Take each marshmallow and dip it into the melted butter until it's fully coated. This represents the anointing of Jesus' body with oils and spices.
Roll the butter-coated marshmallow in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until it's evenly coated. This symbolizes the spices used to prepare Jesus' body for burial.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place a coated marshmallow in the center of each triangle.
Carefully wrap the marshmallow in the dough, making sure to seal all the edges. This represents the burial of Jesus' body in the tomb.
Place the wrapped marshmallows seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving.
As the rolls cool, the marshmallows inside will melt, leaving behind empty spaces in the rolls, symbolizing the empty tomb discovered on the morning of the resurrection.
Serve the Resurrection Rolls warm and enjoy the sweet and symbolic treat with your family and friends as you reflect on the meaning of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
