Honey Glazed Apple Chicken Recipe (Slow Cooker)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 cup honey

🔄 Optional Thickening Slurry (for the last 45 minutes)

  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water or sauce from crockpot

Instructions
 

Combine Ingredients:

  • In your crockpot, add the chicken, applesauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, pepper, garlic powder, and parsley. Stir to coat the chicken well.

Cook Low & Slow:

  • Cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and easily shreddable.

Thicken the Sauce (last 45 minutes):

  • In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water or sauce from the crockpot. Stir until smooth, then pour it into the crockpot and gently mix.

Finish Cooking:

  • Let the sauce thicken with the lid slightly off for the final 30–45 minutes of cooking.

Serve:

  • Shred or slice the chicken if desired, and serve over hot, fluffy white rice. Spoon extra sauce on top—don’t skip it!
