Instructions
Combine Ingredients:
In your crockpot, add the chicken, applesauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, pepper, garlic powder, and parsley. Stir to coat the chicken well.
Cook Low & Slow:
Cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and easily shreddable.
Thicken the Sauce (last 45 minutes):
In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water or sauce from the crockpot. Stir until smooth, then pour it into the crockpot and gently mix.
Finish Cooking:
Let the sauce thicken with the lid slightly off for the final 30–45 minutes of cooking.
Serve:
