Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • Fire & Smoke Society Honey Garlic BBQ Rub season generously
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce
  • Hamburger buns
  • Sliced cheese cheddar, Colby Jack, pepper jack, or your favorite

Optional Toppings

  • Pickles
  • Red onion
  • Coleslaw
  • Jalapeños

Instructions
 

Add the chicken

  • Place the chicken breasts in your slow cooker.

Season

  • Add the minced garlic and generously season both sides of the chicken with the Honey Garlic BBQ Rub.

Slow cook

  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours, or until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.

Shred the chicken

  • Remove the chicken, shred it with two forks, and return it to the slow cooker.

Add the BBQ sauce

  • Pour in the BBQ sauce and stir until the chicken is fully coated. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to soak up the sauce.

Assemble the sandwiches

  • Pile the BBQ chicken onto hamburger buns, top with your favorite cheese and optional toppings, and serve warm.
