Ingredients

  • 1 Store-Bought Chocolate Cake any size you like — round cakes work best
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips or white candy melts
  • 1 tube Black Decorating Gel or black icing

Instructions

Prepare the Cake

  • Start with your favorite store-bought chocolate cake as the base. Keep it chilled until you’re ready to decorate for a clean look.

Melt the White Chocolate

  • Place white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each, until completely smooth.

Make the Ghosts

  • Line a baking sheet or plate with parchment paper.
  • Using a spoon, create ghost shapes with the melted white chocolate — think teardrop or oval shapes with a little “tail” at the top.
  • Let them set completely (you can pop them in the fridge for 5–10 minutes to speed this up).

Add Ghost Faces

  • Once the white chocolate ghosts are hardened, use the black decorating gel to add two eyes and a mouth to each ghost.
  • Let them dry for a few minutes so the faces set.

Assemble the Cake

  • Place the ghosts gently on top of the cake and around the sides for a spooky but cute look.

Serve and enjoy!
