Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 9 large eggs
  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp sweet relish
  • Pinch of salt
  • Green gel food coloring gel type is key!
  • 1 red bell pepper for ornaments
  • 1 yellow bell pepper for stars
  • Optional: Finely shredded Asiago cheese for a snowy effect

Instructions
 

  • Boil the Eggs
  • Place eggs in boiling water and cook for 10–12 minutes.
  • Immediately transfer to an ice bath to cool, then peel.
  • Make the Filling
  • Halve eggs lengthwise and remove yolks.
  • In a bowl, mash yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, relish, and salt.
  • Add green gel food coloring until the filling turns festive “tree green.”
  • Spoon or pipe into a piping bag.
  • Decorate the Trees
  • Pipe the green filling into each egg white, forming a tree shape.
  • Add diced red bell pepper “ornaments.”
  • Cut yellow bell pepper stars with a small cookie cutter and top each egg.
  • Add a Snowy Touch (Optional)
  • Lightly sprinkle shredded Asiago cheese for a “freshly fallen snow” effect.
